Post Election Strategy Meeting – with Bill Monning - on Tuesday November 18.
“Reclaiming America: Restoring our Democracy”

After celebrating - now we really have work to do – pressure our new government to stop the war in Iraq, bring the Afghanistan war to the UN to settle, control corporate excess, talk to Iran, fix our economy, put people back to work, and SAVE THE PLANET! (among other things!)

HOW?? Come join the WILPF discussion on strategy and tactics with two of our experienced community leaders. Bill Monning, newly elected California Assemblyman, and David Sweet, UCSC Prof Emeritus, will help us digest and assess the results of the November elections at the WILPF general meeting on “Reclaiming America: Restoring our Democracy”.

This will be an action-oriented meeting as we prioritize and plan for what needs to be done, guided by our two able speakers.

President-elect Obama can’t do it alone. Join us on November 18 as we move forward with energy and optimism to the better world that we can create working together.

The meeting will be held at the Friends' Meeting House, 225 Rooney St., Santa Cruz, at 7 p.m. Free, open to the public, donations willingly accepted.
