Todd Chretien will deliver a talk "Marx’s Theory of the State" 7-9 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 16 in the Garden Room, Sierra 2 Center, 2791 24th St., Sac. We will break at 8 p.m. and then reconvene for a discussion until 9 p.m. Chretien will explore Marx and Lenin’s theories on the role of the state in helping the capitalist class dominate the majority of the populace. Chretien, a member of the National Writers Union, also ran for the U.S. Senate from California on the Green Party ticket in 2006.
