Attention all anti-authoritarians! UA in the Bay is trying to organize collective transportation for all protesters to upcoming Democratic and Republican National Conventions. If you're planning to attend and are looking to share a ride with other people please post your travel plans to uainthebay-rideshare [at] mailing list. Start by subscribing to the list here:
We now have a mailing list for people who are planning to share transportation to the DNC/RNC. You can subscribe to the list by going here: and typing in your email address.

After subscribing you should post the following information to uainthebay-rideshare [at] :

Can you take people to DNR/RNC? How many people can you take, which convention (or both) and when are you planning on leaving?
Do you need a ride to Denver or St. Paul. Is it just you, or do you have others coming with you? When would you like to leave?

It takes at least 20 hours of straight driving from the bay to Denver and at least 31 hours from the bay to St. Paul.

Depending on demand, we might also rent few cars with good fuel economy and share the costs.

DNC is happening August 25-28th (in Denver), while RNC is September 1-4th (in St. Paul). There should be a caravan leaving from DNC to RNC organized by a different group. DNC to RNC caravan info will be posted to the rideshare mailing list when it becomes available.
