Treasure is a solo exhibition of oil paintings by San Francisco artist Jerry Frost.

Whether landscape, figurative or abstract; Frost's works consistently reveal a uniquely visceral relationship with his chosen medium. The paintings in Treasure come from the artist's latest body of work and represent a significant shift toward greater abstraction. While working, Frost strives to remain receptive to the innumerable possibilities contained within the painting process. Frost says of this series, "I find myself going into the unconscious and letting go the predetermined composition." Forgoing the conventional use of brushes, Frost prefers to utilize putty knives, rags, and the occasional pencil in creating his work. Quickly applying paint directly from the tube on to the canvas; Frost creates bold arrangements of color and form. Treasure offers the viewer a tantalizing glimpse of what Frost has described as his lifelong conversation with the world through paint.
