East Bay | Environment & Forest DefenseOak Grove Extraction #6
Photos I took of the Oak Grove extraction on June 19. The last main day of extraction as June 19. The extractor did not come in the morning but did come in the afternoon. The managed to get one tree sitter, Leaf. The cut all of our lines again and Mando and I only managed to escape by my going out to a telephone pole and his going up into tiny branches of an oak. I was cut off and all the safety lines were cut. I was scared of the extreme danger to get back to the others. Later that night I decided to come down. I made a deal to get me stuff out to supporters and they posted many of my photos while I was in jail.

You can't really see it in this picture but the police grabbed a woman out of her car. they claimed that she wasn't driving fast enough into the group of protesters on the street. She held he son (green shorts sticking out below branches) and screamed. She was a Deputy District Attorney and this made the police look bad.
A second set of barricades goes up and supporters are pushed down the street.
Workers rush up with new barricades.
