US troops Reached 4,000 Deaths Mark in Iraq War
by AJLPP
Monday Mar 24th, 2008 1:33 PM
The Alliance-Philippines (AJLPP) find it unfortunate and sad that the number of American troops killed in Iraq surged to 4,000 at the time of the holiest of the Christian events: Easter Sunday, March 23,2008.

The US war deaths surged passed the number of U.S combat deaths in the Filipino-American War of 1899-1902 which is 1,500 out of more than 4,324 war deaths in the four years war for the colonizing the Philippines.

The AJLPP remembers that the US sent 126,000 troops to subject the Philippines the same way there are 158,000 troops now in Iraq. The U.S puppet troops, the Philippine Constabulary (the progenitor of the modern day Armed Forces of the Philippines) suffered more than 2,000 casualties until 1913 against the Filipino insurgents and the Moro fighters in Mindanao.

US troops Reached 4,000 Deaths Mark in Iraq War

San Francisco--- The Alliance-Philippines (AJLPP) find it unfortunate and sad that the number of American troops killed in Iraq surged to 4,000 at the time of the holiest of the Christian events: Easter Sunday, March 23,2008.

For the AJLPP, it is not a coincidence that more than 6,000 American troops just concluded a two0 weeks military war exercise in Luzon and Mindanao. In the process, they massacred 8 people in the town of Maimbung, Sulu. According to Human rights groups in the Philippines.

More than one hundred years later, the tentacles of US imperialist powers are still stretching from Iraq , the Middle East into the Philippines. American troops are still in Iraq and there is no way they are leaving. More US troops will continue to be injured and die in Iraq and other countries until all of them come home.

The AJLPP join the call of the American people and all the people of the world: Bring ALL the U.S troops Home Now!
