East Bay | Anti-WarBattle of Berkeley Part 1
On Feb 12, 2 sides faced off in Berkeley. On the one side were anti-war and progressive people supporting the city council's resolution last week saying that marine recruiters are unwelcome in Berkeley. On the other side were pro-Iraq war, pro-marine reactionaries mobilized by talk radio etc. Despite all the media reports that hordes od pro-war people would be decending on Berkeley the anti-marine recruiter protesters outnumbered the reactionaries most of the day. Hundreds of Berkeley High students Berkeley High students joined the protest. ![]() arguing_with_pro-war_sm_.... ![]() tuesday_morning_sm.jpg Both sides faced off at 5 am Tuesday Morning.
