McCloud; Community Forum About Nestle Bottling (2/12)

On Tues, 2/12 between 7-9 pm the McCloud Watershed Council presents info to the public at McCloud Elem School about the ecological risks and economic impacts involved with the proposed Nestle bottling plant. Proposed plant would be largest in U.s. and remove billions of gallons per day from the aquifer under Mt. Shasta. Location is east of I-5, south of Mt. Shasta on the 89.
McCloud Community Forum

The public is invited to learn more about the economic, science and legal issues related to the proposed bottling plant and express their opinions about the proposal. The proposed Nestlé water bottling facility would be the largest such plant of its kind in the U.S., according to the current contract. Residents should have the opportunity to understand potential long-term economic consequences of having such a facility in McCloud.

When: Tuesday, February 12, 7-9 p.m.

Where: McCloud Elementary School, 322 Hamilton Way

A McCloud Community Forum hosted by the McCloud Watershed Council is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12 at the McCloud Elementary School from 7 to 9 p.m. Organizers say the goal of the forum is “to initiate an open exchange of information within the McCloud community, as well as collect public opinion about the proposed water bottling facility.”
