Sea Shepherd website hacked

The whale war in the southern ocean has leapt to cyberspace with the hacking of the anti-whaling Sea Shepherd Conservation Society website: http://www.seashepherd.org.

The normal Sea Shepherd index page and related content was replaced by a page titled 'Sea Shepherd Pirate Society Australia'. It featured pictures of a cow and pig being slaughtered and butchered from http://www.slaughterhousecam.com on a jollyroger background. The only writing on the site is "HOW ARE YOU GENTLEMEN ALL YOUR ASS ARE BELONG TO BASE" and "Copyright © 2008 Sea Shepherd Pirate Society Australia. All rights reserved."

The hack was visible for perhaps an hour or two before being replaced by an Apache 2 webserver Test Page.

In the last week two Sea Shepherd activists boarded a Japanese harpoon ship to deliver a message, and then were held hostage for 3 days before the Australian ship Oceanic Viking acted as intermediary to return them to the Steve Irwin. The incident provoked enormous international media coverage and focus on whaling, much of it positive for Sea Shepherd, and thus a target for hacking.

Shortly after the two crew members departed the Yushin Maru No 2 in an Australian Customs inflatable, Sea Shepherd launched another harassment raid on the Yushin Maru No 2, with activists throwing foul smelling bottles of butyric acid on the deck from an inflatable.

The transfer of the two crew members held hostage from the Oceanic Viking to the Steve Irwin allowed the whaling fleet to escape from the Steve Irwin.

Meanwhile, the Greenpeace vessel Esperanza is still shadowing the Nisshin Maru. They were later joined by the Yushin Maru No 2.

All the Sea Shepherd crew must be vegans while working for them. To show a cow and a pig being slaughtered and drained of blood is contrary to their philosophy and practice. The hackers are showing their lack of knowledge about this animal rights organisation. They have integrity and honesty. Whales are a superior species, innocent and pure, and do not belong on a menu or in a fridge. Let them live. Go Sea Shepherd!!

The website was "boarded" by hackers...
Serves them right for boarding ships without any concern for the crew members lol.

It is clear that Sea Shepherd has intended to cheat people switching its own homepage to insist unfaithfully that Japanese whale eaters play as if they are also evil web hackers.

This cannot be done by a Japanese because it's referring to the "all your base are belong to us" joke that was popular about 5 years ago. Only English-speaking people know that joke; virtually no Japanese even know about it.
held hostage? bullshit. the OZs were ARRESTED for their immature actions. LACK OF DISCRETION!!!!

If it is Japanese doing truly, since it hacks, it is made what the joke heard more. For example, they are two rescued persons who consume whale meat joyfully.
The Japanese eats beef in the same way as them, too. Therefore a Japanese hacks their homepage and sticks a photograph of the slaughter of the cow and is nonsense. Furthermore, the expression called "HOW ARE YOU GENTLEMEN ALL YOUR ASS ARE BELONG TO BASE" does not extremely have familiarity for a Japanese. Rather it is the expression that the English zone is known to.
Based upon the foregoing, the case named this hacking may conclude with the act that I performed so that SHESHEPHERD puts a groundless crime on a Japanese.

Paul's disregard for the safety of his crew seems to be very misguided. I believe that "research" whaling is wrong, but not at the risks he is willing to ask others to take. He intimidates others into taking risks which he hasn't shown himself willing to take -- Look up narcissistic personality disorder.

The idea that Sea Shepherd takes unneccessary risks is to put the value of human life above that of the lives of the whales. I would gladly put my own life on the line, and lose it, than have one of these animals die. Nearly every whale species is endangered or threatened and the ones that aren't are not being killed in anything close to sustainable numbers. If allowed to continue and grow, whales would be completely wiped off our planet. Let's not forget, only thru intense international pressure did the Japanese whaling fleets agree to not kill Humpback whales, a dritically endangered species. Is your own life really more valuable than one of theirs? That mind set will only lead to our own deaths as we get rid of the very creatures that keep out planet functioning. We're not alone on this planet and the longer we act like we are, the less time we'll have on it.

Sea Shepherd IS, Greenpeace Was!
What this means is that Greenpeace has abandoned the Antarctic Battlefield to Sea Shepherd. Greenpeace has 8 ships and not one can make it to the Ross Sea. Shame and to take peoples money and tell them you are sending a ship and then don't, is simply wrong.

Who is ever running the Greenpeace Media Team needs to have the head examined. For each column inch of print media Greenpeace gets, Sea Shepherd will be able to show 10 feet of press columns.

Sad sad day, Greenpeace needs a big overhaul.
