The Mandate govt`s answer: Rejection! The 10.000 teens were all caught and sent to Nazi labor camps and the 20.000 children also got captured and all ended up in the Aushwitz & Majdanek gas chambers. The white paper of Neville Chamberlain -39 stated that a maximum of 75,000 Jews over a period of 5 years from 1939 would be allowed entry into the mandate. The british became anti-Jewish when oil was discovered in arab lands

The British did an about face regarding Jews in mandated Palestine when oil was discovered in neighboring lands. They realized their interests were better served yielding to Arab demands at that point.
then as now, its all about the money. |
