Thursday, December 6, 2007 : This week on Crossing The Line: The international conference in Annapolis, Maryland recently came to an end. During the talks US Presient George W. Bush stated that the time is right for peace in the Middle East, but what does that mean in terms of a solution to the decades-long conflict? Host Christopher Brown speaks with Dr. Norman G. Finkelstein, a noted scholar on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the author of several books including his latest, Beyond Chutzpah: On The Misuse of Anti-Semitism and The Abuse of History, about Annapolis' chances for success.

1.) As late as in July 1939, several Zionist organizations petitioned the mandate government about letting in 20.000 Polish-Jewish children(under 15 years of age) and 10.000 jewish teenagers from the Balkans gain entry into the Mandate...
The Mandate govt`s answer: Rejection!
The 10.000 teens were all caught and sent to Nazi labor camps and the 20.000 children also got captured and all ended up in the Aushwitz & Majdanek gas chambers.
The white paper of Neville Chamberlain -39 stated that a maximum of 75,000 Jews over a period of 5 years from 1939 would be allowed entry into the mandate.
The british became anti-Jewish when oil was discovered in arab lands

The British did an about face regarding Jews in mandated Palestine when oil was discovered in neighboring lands. They realized their interests were better served yielding to Arab demands at that point.
then as now, its all about the money.
