Nomad NeuroWeapon Returns for SF LoveFest

by Nomads (Nomads [at] gmail.com)
Fresh off the Black Rock playa, the NeuroWeapon Art Car/ Mutant Vehicle has the honor of participating in San Francisco's Fourth Annual LoveFest on September 29, 2007. After this year's accomplishments at Burningman, and the enthusiastic response from the Black Rock City Citizens, it is no surprise that the NeuroWeapon is one of the few mutant vehicles to be accepted into San Francisco LoveFest.

Headline : NEUROWEAPON PARTICPATES IN SF LOVE FEST
San Francisco, CA - September 24th 2007
Fresh off the Black Rock playa, the NeuroWeapon Art Car/ Mutant Vehicle has the honor of participating in San Francisco's Fourth Annual LoveFest on September 29, 2007. After this year's accomplishments at Burningman, and the enthusiastic response from the Black Rock City Citizens, it is no surprise that the NeuroWeapon is one of the few mutant vehicles to be accepted into San Francisco LoveFest.
The NeuroWeapon was first created in 2006, as a companion to the scout pod Mutant Vehicle created by Brent Dodge of San Francisco, in 2004. While the original scout pod was build on a golf cart body, the NeuroWeapon took the concept to the next level, using a 1983 Chevy Suburban as it’s base. The purpose of the car was not just to be a mobile piece of art, but to provide mobile sound as well. With the frame customized for directional sound, and a visible DJ booth as its centerpiece, the car was a success both on and off the playa.
Brent collaborated with friend and fellow DJ T-dUb (aka Tim Watson) of Lake Tahoe, on the 2006 Project. The original NeuroWeapon was built in 30 days, with limited resources and no time to spare. Seeing the positive reaction to the car, both Brent and T-dUb returned from the playa in 06, anxious to start what would be a year long project to enhance the car, from a visual and audio standpoint.

In 2007 more time was devoted to the vehicles evolution, with more expanded metal, more lighting and most importantly more speakers! The result was a vehicle that provided the community a unique experience, which stimulated both eyes and ears. The car was a success on the playa and will continue to delight its fans at lovefest, decompression and numerous events throughout the year and across the country.
