Director Ken Loach's winner of the 2006 Palme d'Or best film Award at Cannes is a story of the Irish freedom struggle in the 1920s. This struggle against the invading English ruling class dates back to the 12th Century and is as much a class struggle as it is an anti-colonial struggle. The title is also the title of a 19th century Irish ballad by Robert Dwyer Joyce and a poem by Katharine Tynan. Discount for seniors & children. Repeats at 9:35 p.m.
