National Breaking News: The ACLU said in a press conference held in San Jose on May 30 that a lawsuit against Jeppesen Dataplan, a subsidiary of Boeing Co., was being filed under the Alien Tort Statute, which permits aliens to bring claims in the United States for violations of the law of nations or a United States treaty. Jeppesen International Trip Planning organized secret flights, on behalf of the CIA, to countries that practice torture. The Raging Grannies Action League, South Bay Mobilization, Amnesty International local chapters and other groups have been regularly protesting against "Extraordinary rendition" services provided by Jeppesen in front of that company's offices in San Jose, California. Amnesty International describes "extraordinary rendition" as "Air Torture," saying the practice bypasses judicial and administrative due process.
