San Francisco | Anti-WarCamp Pelosi: Raging Granny Rescue Mission
Raging Grannies went on Rescue Mission....to Camp Pelosi. Loaded down with home-made food and supplies, 4 Grannies headed up to the big City from the South Bay/Peninsula to help CodePinkers recover after a rainy night at "camp". Members of the Raging Grannies Action League reside in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, so getting to Camp Pelosi was a feat in itself. Left Mountain View at 9:00 am....three hours later we arrived just in time for World Photos journalist to record us with CodePink at the historic encampment in front of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's Pacific Heights residence. Not content to let others record this important event, we document one day at Camp Pelosi here in PART I.
First things first...
We hung up our signs and our "spine" for Nancy. She needs one.

Yum
Wet from the morning showers at camp, but now fortified by Granny Goodies, CodePinker poses in front of Nancy's townhouse. Grannies agreed that maintaining our demeanor and staying ON the sidewalk was important. But we couldn't help but get up close.
Grannies have certain urges
How nice! Convenient construction nearby means portie toities abound.
Green means go, right?
"Help yourselves, ladies!" Construction workers make good friends when Grannies gotta go!
Redecorating
Susan decides Camp Pelosi needs to be Gran-i-fied.
And cleaned up a bit
Some Grannies actually ENJOY a bit of housework now and then!

Get the message, Nancy?
Mission Accomplished
Camp Pelosi tidied up and photographed, and CodePink demonstraters now cleaned up and fed, the Grannies declare "Mission Accomplished" and head back to the 'burbs like the good little country mice cousins we are. We ask Nancy, bring the troops home and meet our greater goals!
