Photos from Anti-Anti-Choice Protest in SF
Here are some photos from today's pro-choice rally and march in San Francisco.
We had a long rally, then we waited for the "pro-life" march to start. The police put up barricades. At first, they started putting them along the edge of the street, but then they moved them back so that we were kept off of the actual sidewalk, like 15 feet from the edge of the street. Eventually, we marched alongside the street, so the barricades became irrelevant. The march stopped to let people catch up, and people at the front got bored and sort of wandered ahead. I think I stayed until we were around Pier 23, and then I had to leave.
The anti-choicers didn't seem like they had given a lot of thought to why they were out there- I would try to take pictures of them with their signs, and they would hide their faces behind the signs. Maybe they were ashamed of being in that march full of people who were so misguided? They seemed to be from a ways out of the Bay Area- places like Yuba City and stuff.

Remember these "pro-life" demonstrators include the un-indighted co-conspiritors who helped the assisan of an abortion doctor, run and hide from justice for many years ( he was captured in France and repatriated). Remember that Jim Kopp, a fanatic from Marin (Redwood High School/US Santa Cruz) is serving hard time formurdering a doctor in his home as he sat down for breakfast, because Jim thought he performed abortions.
Always remember, Murder is OK for these "pro-life" people, so long as the murder is of a doctor, or the mother, just not the fetus. In AmeriKKKa today, that position is acceptable (to the pResident) and most of your representatives.
The acts of Jim Kopp and his supporters would rreasonably be considered TERRORISM. The supporters of TERRORISM would be held in CIA prisons and ultimately transferred to Guantonomo.
Why aren't The people who supported and hid Jim Kopp, the doctor assasin and terrorist, treated the ame way as other terrorists in Amerikkka?

I personally know six kids who have been adopted by loving pro-life parents. Did you know that one of your men was saying "get your rosaries off my ovaries!".... Then some one said "You have ovaries???" wow, you guys are intelligent.....

Just want to give propers to the church ladies for choice. They brought a great & funny songbook and led us in some chants. I also appreciated (as a prochoice woman) the sisters of perpetual indulgence coming out and showing their support. The lgbti community understands better than anyone what these rightwingers are trying to do.
Skip, there are some extremists who would kill but they are a tiny minority. Tiny. Minute! It is good for propaganda purposes but you know very well that pro lifers oppose violence. Indeed a consistent ethic of life involves opposition to war, abortion, capital punishment etc. Abortion is violent and compounds the social conditions from which it stems. We must tackle this abortin culture and work for justice in society.

AN unborn child is distinct from the biological tissue which makes up its mother. It has its own blood type and DNA. This is science. Justice requires opposing abortion, war, capital punishment. Women deserve better than abortion.
A fetus doesn't even have the beginnings of a functioning nervous system til it's at 23 to 28 weeks...and yet your comrades in several state wanted to make it mandatory that any women getting an abortion is forced to accept pain medication for the fetus at any point...you don't know science. Youre not interested in science.
