The Pipe Band got things started with a march up Pacific Avenue. Their haunting melodies floated northward and the silence left in their wake provided a fitting tribute for the silent peace vigil that followed them.
Members of the silent peace vigil get ready to step off.
"3000+ Americans
600,000+ Iraqis How Many More? The Bell Tolls For Us All" Members of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship, Women In Black, CODEPINK Women for Peace and other peacemakers silently made their way up Pacific. Many peace signs were exchanged with the supportive crowd.
The members of the Santa Cruz Unicycle Club were entertaining and incredibly good at riding on one wheel down a rough roadway.
I'd like to introduce you to the Pink Man.
Meet the Rainbow Lady. You guys have got some serious strolling to do.
A possible feature for next month's Guerilla Drive-In?!?
"Save The Polar Bears of I'm Not Coming to Your F*&%'n House Next Year!"
Who knew there were biodiesel taxis in Santa Cruz? Don't worry -- Dick Cheney doesn't normally ride in them.
