A Silent Peace Walk
at the front of the Last Night Parade in Downtown Santa Cruz

gather at 5:15 PM at the corner of Cathcart Street and Pacific Avenue
bring a candle that won't blow out or a Sign or Symbol that expresses your Hopes for Peace in the coming year!
Bring a Friend or two!!
Wear mourning clothes or whatever to stay WARM!

After we gather, we will wait until we see the larger Last Night Parade coming up Pacific Avenue from Saturn Cafe, and then step off to lead the way.
A member of the local Buddhist Peace Fellowship will accompany us with the steady ringing of a Gong.

Please come, and please let others know!!
MANY folks will be downtown to Celebrate Our Community and to see the Parade - this is a Wonderful Opportunity to Reach Out and to set our Intention for the Coming Year!!

We are approaching the death of the 3000th American soldier in Iraq - as Bush and Democrats seem set on escalating the war with tens of thousands more troops sent into harm's way.

The death of over 3000 Americans, and over 600,000 Iraqis, is way too much in our name!

LET US WALK FOR PEACE TOGETHER ON SUNDAY EVENING!!
5:15 PM, CORNER OF CATHCART AND PACIFIC, DOWNTOWN SANTA CRUZ

co-hosted by Women in Black of SC and CodePink of SC

ps: white lettering on a black background shows up the best on a dark evening!!!

please distribute widely!!
