We at the Defense Table - A Medica Marijuana Protest at SJSU

Date:
Friday, August 25, 2006
Time:
4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Event Type:
Class/Workshop
Organizer/Author:
Jim Lohse
Location Details:
San Jose State University Police Department, 377 S. 7th St., San Jose, CA. On 7th at the parking garage at 7th and San Salvador. Take 280 to 7th St. (from 880). Take 7th st north to the campus edge, a few blocks.

PATIENT TRAINING BY DENNIS UMPHRESS and/or JIM LOHSE will begin at 5pm. We need volunteers to help us reach out to the students.

DON'T LET UNIVERSITIES expel legal medpot patients! Don't let college PD's illegally arrest patients who hold county cards, or any legitimate patient. Join us Fridays for 4:20.

Mobilize with us, the first Friday of the new school year at SJSU. Bring signs saying, "Give it back" or "stop arresting patients". We have a few stop signs, we need numbers!

WHY

First our homeless group member Christine Flora was rousted on campus and her medical marijuana was siezed! She still made it work work that day after they arrested her and held her in a holding cell until 4:30am.

Then Chuck and I (Jim Lohse) protested, I laid a bag of weed out with bags of oregano. The details are below in my email to the SJSU-PD.

We were arrested despite Chuck and I holding government-issue SB420 ID cards. I allege willful police misconduct.

Contact Arnold and Fabian Nunez, the two top Trustees of the Cal State University system. Don't let the colleges ruin any more kids lives by kicking them out for medical marijuana.

Sincerely,
Jim Lohse, President, Silicon Valley Cannabis Patients Union
