Some three dozen activists participated in anti-war street theater and outreach at Fourth celebrations around the Bay, highlighting the ongoing abuse in Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib.

Crowds at Redwood City's parade, supposedly the largest 4th of July celebration in Northern California, were surprisingly receptive to our message.

Hundreds took the "orange ribbon pledge," accepting an orange ribbon to make opposition to torture and indefinite detention visible.
