Our purpose is to raise money to send volunteers and relief supplies to assist with the reconstruction effort of significantly damaged and economically disadvantaged neighborhoods of New Orleans.
This is in response to the call for help from Common Ground Relief in New Orleans. http://www.commongroundrelief.org
Common Ground Relief was established the first week after Hurricane Katrina.
They are a volunteer based organization that started off with three community organizers and is focused on ensuring that “historically neglected communities are able to come back together for a more just and sustainable future”.
All profits will support Common Ground Collective and other grassroots organizations in New Orleans.
