San Francisco | Government & ElectionsJake McGoldrick has the nerve to initiate policies that make no sense
Jake McGoldrick loves to spew words full of diatribe and meaningless noises that try to sound something but mean nothing. He is for Beter Neighborhood Plus an Ordinance that is going no where. Now suddenly he wants the Golden Gate Park closed on weekends without any consideration for those that cannot walk long distances. Jake is unaware that we have a population that is aging and most of those that are in their 60s cannot walk long distances and then you have those in wheel chairs, crutches, and physically challenged. Jake McGoldrick could not care less. It is not unusal for some Board of Supervisor to introduce STUPID legislation and test the will of the people. One such clown is Jake McGoldrick for years now he has been trying to push his Better Neighborhood Plus Ordinance and it is going no where. Now he wants some attention and he wil not get it. Even Mayor Gavin Newsom when confronted about this Better Neighborhood Plus Ordinance stated that he was for Better Neighborhood Planning but not for the Better Neighborhood Plus Ordinance which wants to create a separate Adminstrative Code and make the Planning Department play second fiddle. Of course most of us know the City Administrative Officer has no power he now takes all his cues from the Mayor. Mayor Willie L. Brown Jr. saw to that with a Charter change. Bill Lee and now Edwin Lee takes their orders from the Mayor. Now, once again Jake McGoldrick wants to deprive many Seniors and those that are Physically Challenged from visiting the Golden Gate Park that he thinks is his fiefdom. Jake goes on these trips to Paris and London and when he comes back - he is full of ideas that defy logic. Then he sides with the filthy rich from the De Young Museum that built a large Parking Garage but now want more and more to accomodate them. They are always taking and never ever giving - the filthy rich. This is San Francisco and to put things in order Jake McGoldrick must first understand that as a Supervisor he must fight for Quality of Life issues. The many Seniors and physically challenged are an integral part of Society and have every right to visit the Golden Gate Park on their own terms. Each of them has rights as citizens and Jake McGoldrick must understand that. The City and County of San Francisco gets millions of dollars from the Federal Government and many of these dollars are tied to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Now, if Jake wants to take the Federal Government on - then it is time for the Feds to stop all Federal funding and have Jake McGoldrick and his backers provide the money for transportation and other needs. The Better Neighborhood Plus Ordinance and the closing of Golden Gate Park are Odinances that are faulty and very selfish. The language ordering a segment of the population that needs help to follow orders and mandates that adversely impact them stinks of corruption and bias. Jake McGoldrick is a Joke and his Ordinances will NOT fly in the short or long term. In recent months we have had others like Sophie Maxwell initiate Ordinances ordering others to do this and that - like the faulty Off Sale Liquor Ordinance - Sophie expects the owners of small businesses not only to monitor what goes inside their stores but outside. Police and maintain order outside the store premises. The Board of Supervsiors as legislators have done a very poor job. Ordinances in place have no clout. We have Ordinances and should have personnel to maintain certain standards linked to littering and it is not working. We have Ordinances safe guarding Health and Safety and they are not working. Wait till a pandemic strikes us. When was the last time empirical data was collected on Air Pollution and the dangerous particulates that are adversely affecting the over 780,000 population of San Francisco? What are we doing to protect the health of our children that suffer from air pollution that is encouraged by the Board of Supervisors? How long is it taking to install particulate traps on our MUNI buses? What about the School buses run by Laidlaw? We have over 2000 potholes all over the City and County of San Francisco. Some of them have been in place over over 5 years - what is Jake and the other Board of Supervisors (BOS)doing about this? The Department of Public Works has an over $350 million back log when it comes to repairing our roads. Now they want $1.5 billion bond measure to fix our hospitals and other infrastructure. What is going on in this City of ours we call San Francisco? What is going on with our BOS? Talk about Crime? So many of our youth are shot and killed that no one seems to care? Sophie has not held the last Gun and Violence Special Meeting because of reasons best known to herself! Our Seniors crossing roads are hit - left, right, and center - what is Jake doing about this issue? He deems himself the Chair of the San Francisco County Transportation Authority Commission! Talks and talks and does nothing much. We have no many homeless dying on our streets and living under freeways and out of their vehicles. What are the BOS doing about this? What are they doing about the mentally ill? What are they doing about our homeless youth? The scumbags talk and talk and do nothing. Our BOS are not addressing real Quality of Life issues. What they are doing is trying our patience initiating STUPID ordinances that defy logic. Now how about giving the constituents 3 minutes of Public Comment. How about listening to the Public instead of we listening to the long winded speeches that Jake McGoldrick makes and some of the other air-headed Supervisors. If some of these fools think it is getting too hot in the kitchen time to bail out and let some one else do the job. Jake is a Joke and continues to make a fool of himself. Keep our Parks Open and do not impose any sanctions that adversely impact the Physically Challenged. Follow the Brown Act and let there be Sunshine. Some of you BOS scumbags should be ashamed of yourselves - leading the pack of fools Sophie Maxwell and Jake McGoldrick. Francisco Da Costa Director Environmental Justice Advocacy

"To mitigate the impact on disabled people, the legislation creates new handicapped parking spaces, drop-off zones and a shuttle to get around the closed portions of JFK Drive."
