After a morning of visiting Oakland schools, the now two hundred peace marchers arrived in downtown San Francisco at noon. Marching down Market Street, the March for Peace met up with thousands of students who had walked out of their classes to protest anti-immigrant legislation pending in congress. Up to five thousand people packed the street in front of Senator Feinstein’s office for a spirited but rain soaked rally for peace and justice. After marching to Dolores Park, the March for Peace finished with a final lap around the Mission District.
