The victim in this picture is Egrie Hurd, Jr III, award-winning student from Cal Poly (google him!) and currently grad student at San Jose State. His interests are history, social justice, and he works for student health education on campus in his spare time. His crime Friday night was giving a speech to our rally outside the auditorium. (I hope he'll still come back...)

His assailants are probably high school grads (I hope) whose interests include watching lots of TV, drinking beer, and practice shooting. Their boss, Terrence Helms is quoted in the Cupertino Courier today saying: "the majority of them asked to be arrested", that it was a rock-throwing melee, and, get this: "there were no injuries"!! that, in spite of his department holding the abused claiming that the they assaulted his officers. - K

How come we don't have the wit or the skills to get video of the alleged attacks up on the screen. I wrote earelier and was assured that videos were taken. Where are they? Don't do the old "We are keeping them for legal reasons." routine. GET 'EM OUT THERE. These photos show nothing of importance to anyone who wasn't there.
