Dozens of anti-war activists blockaded key intersections of the downtown financial district. Two intersections included Bush street with chants of "We are blocking Bush". Traffic was jammed for several hours as hundreds rallied in the streets.

Historically, when people have really wanted to shut down a city like SF, it's been easily done by peacefully blockading bridges.

Peacefully blockading bridges would've been great! Unfortunately, times have changed. Maybe you don't know about Homeland Security? I suppose it makes admiring Bush a little easier?
