President Reagan said we would not negotiate with terrorists. At the same time, the CIA wanted to support a rebel army in the overthrow of the Nicaraguan government. Congress said no. So John Poindexter, along with Oliver North and many others, went behind President Reagan's back (supposedly) and sold weapons to the Iranians (illegally), then took the money they made and funneled it to the brutal "Contra" army that they built in Central America (also illegally). Finding the balance

We are in a very interesting country and mind state. We all wanted total freedom AND total security. The truth is that it will not happen. For example, if you want to be absolutely sure your kids are not doing drugs or illegal activities or actions you as a parent do not approve of, you have to basically lock them up or have 24hrs surveilance on them. Total freedom does not exist as it means total chaos. We need to balance them. If we as a country is willing to sacrafice some of our security, we can demand more freedom. And, if we have more freedom, we should not blame anyone if we are not as secure. Asking for both is not possible.
In many other country, a national ID system exist. Citizens are require to carry the ID at all time. Of course a national ID in USA will be asking for law suits. Without a national ID, it will be harder to track and catch criminal, terrorist, etc. And, we should be patient and understand why we cannot prevent all diasters. Life is always a balance. All intervention have pros and cons. We should be sensible enough to look for the balance. IAO????

Interesting aside: Is it a coincidence, or was the acronym "IAO" also chosen for it's occult significance (kinda fits in with the "Eye of Horus", and pyramid, etc.?)?
