Californians provide much more to the federal government in taxes than they get back in services. The feds should bail out the states, which cannot indulge in the red-ink financing that has become a specialty of the Bush Administration....

Sakia Gunn, a 15-year-old lesbian and resident of Newark, NJ, her girlfriend and friends were on their way home the morning of May 11th when 2 men began harassing them on the street. When the young women said that they were lesbians and refused their advances, they were attacked and Sakia was fatally stabbed in the chest....
