October 11, 2005, San Francisco-The world's most prolific cultivator of
medicinal cannabis, Charles "Eddy" Lepp will be in court on Friday,
October
14, at 9 a.m, at the San Francisco Federal Building, 450 Golden Gate
Avenue.
Lepp is facing 4 life sentences, plus 40 years, plus 17 million
dollars in
fines.
On August 18, 2004, police seized 32,524 cannabis plants that were
growing
on Lepp's Lake County property. Lepp maintains that the plants were
not
his. Rather, they belonged to thousands of patients who had signed
contracts with Lepp to have medicinal cannabis grown for them.
A rally in support of Mr. Lepp will follow the courtroom proceedings,
at the
corner of Larkin and Turk.
