Alameda Unincorporated Areas Update

Incorporated cities such as Oakland, Hayward and Berkeley are not
directly affected by this moratorium and their local ordinances remain

There continues to be a debate between the supervisors and the sheriff
about how many dispensaries the county should permit and how to frame
the guidelines. Nate Miley is strongly continuing his support for
patients and safe access.

There will be a public comment period sometime before February. We’re
not exactly sure how this will look. We’ll keep you posted on any new
info we receive.

In related news, the San Leandro city council has declared a moratorium
on dispensaries due to the wake of Alameda's efforts. There are no
dispensaries currently in San Leandro, the dispensaries near San Leandro
are on county roads and technically not part of the city of San Leandro.
The San Leandro moratorium is not likely to be resolved until after the
County has resolved their moratorium.
