FUCK THE POLICE!!! -- TAKE ACTION NOW TO RECLAIM OUR COMMUNITIES FROM WIDESPREAD SYSTEMATIC COLONIAL ECONOMIC OPPRESSION!!!

We're trying to solidarity in support of police accountablity and disciplinary action with
regards to the brutal murder of yet another disabled black man by the SFPD. We're looking to various social groups in the Bay Area around the issue of this murder, as well as the continued fracturing of the black community living in the Western Addition; and the frightened, coerced dependency upon a violent colonial police state in San Francisco.

This is a state of emergency which has been largely misrepresented in the mainstream media which has perpetuated racist stereotypes in order to justify and cover-up clear systematic police terrorism, and hide Mayor Newsom's hidden agenda in the further economic repression of folks living in San Francisco in the interest of gentrification through making our neighborhoods "safe."

BACKGROUND ON CAMMERIN BOYD

On Wednesday, May 5, San Francisco police officers shot and killed 29 year-old Cammerin Boyd in front of dozens of witnesses.

Witnesses say that Cammerin, who was disabled and had prosthetic legs, was clearly and vocally surrendering with his hands above his head. The police shot him anyway, stealing his life and robbing his daughters of their father, his mother of her son, and his loved ones of a dear friend and relative.

Why would the cops kill a man who was trying to surrender? Two reasons have immediately jumped to the fore in community meetings and discussions: a blatant disregard for black life, and a vengeful bloodlust in the wake of officer Isaac Espinoza's death in the line of duty.

For years, SFPD has had a "shoot first, lie later" policy, especially when it comes to black people and disabled people. Ineffective investigation and discipline mechanisms have allowed this pattern to continue and develop into a culture of impunity within the department. A recent article into the department indicated that there are in excess of 26 open investigations into offcier involved shootings, this means that SFPD has continued to exonerate its officers without an investigation into their behavior. SHAMEFUL!
