Amy Goodman in Eureka
Amy Goodman, journalist, author and host of Democracy Now, spoke to a packed house at Eureka's Municipal Auditorium Saturday, August 2004 in a benefit for radio stations KMUD and KHSU and to promote her book,co-authored with her brother David, The Exception to the Rulers.
More than two thousand people came to hear Amy Goodman speak at Eureka's Municipal Auditorium about her new book, " The Exception To The Rulers: Exposing Oily Politicians, War Profiteers And The Media That Love Them," co-authored with her brother David. A screening of the IMC produced DVD, "Independant Media In A Time of War," proceeded Ms. Goodmans speech. Most of her lecture dealt with the mainstream media's lack of criticism of the Bush Administration. As she quoted from her book, "The media acts as a conveyer belt for the lies of the Bush Administration." The book is on the New York Times best sellers list.
