Chico Peace Gathering  peace1.jpgkwu106.jpg Over 100 people attended a Peace Gathering in Chico Today. This Gathering was to protest against the one-year-anniversary of the U.S. occupation of Iraq.
The event started out with the Peace Vigil that happens every saturday at 3rd & Main Streets. This vigil has been going for 40 years and happens from from 12:30 - 1:30 PM ever saturday. At 1:30 pm a march thru downtown Chico occurred that ended at Downtown Park Plaza. Several inspirational speakers and musicians finished off the day and made the event a great success. Several Police offficers arrived on the scene at downtown park plaza when a bomb threat was called in. After a search no bomb was found.
