Add comment on:Rwanda and Congo trade accusations of cross border weapons fire
KPFA Evening News/Ann Garrison, 08.24.2013
The Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda traded accusations of cross border weapons fire in North Kivu Province, after fighting resumed in Congo's North Kivu Province on Thursday. The UN Force Intervention Brigade says it's going on the offensive to help the Congolese army move Rwanda's M23 from their positions, but the AP reports that Goma residents, suspicious of UN motives, burned tires and chanted anti-UN Mission slogans on Saturday.
