Add comment on:No more appeals for Tim DeChristopher
Throughout the entire term of Barack Obama, Tim DeChristopher has been mired in the legal system because he tried to protect public land from cheap exploitation. He believed the new President would intercede in an auction of oil and gas leases that had already been challenged in court. He was wrong, in spades. For acting on his conscience, he was hauled out of court in shackles upon sentencing. What he did was run up the prices closer to market value, something energy moguls do not tolerate. Eventually the auction itself was voided by the courts, but not until Tim DeChristopher became a martry of our Department of Justice, which continues to protect the strong and against the weak, and fails to protect the integrity of this earth.
