California Senate Resolution 31 ~ Africa Day 2012
Khubaka, Michael Harris
California Legislative Black Caucus Chair, Honorable Senator Curren Price has introduced SR 31, relative to celebrating Africa Day 2012. Exploring closer California, Africa Union and Pan African Dispora trade and commerce can provide job creation, technical education, career development and economic development. The 49th Anniversary of Africa Day celebrates an amazing journey of people of African ancestry in the Great State of California. Throughout the State of California the contributions of people of Africa to the forward flow of humanity are beginning to find fertile ground for expression, inclusive of the California Department of Education and a handful of California State Agencies still struggling with equity and equal opportunity in service delivery and economic contracts. The California Department of Food and Agriculture will serve as an example of the amazing opportunity utilizing the gifts from Africa.
