Fresno Says No To War
Mike Rhodes
One thousand people came to the March 18, 2007 Rally in the Valley for Peace and Justice in downtown Fresno. Speakers included David Swanson, the director of Democrats.com and of ImpeachPAC.org and Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey from the Bay Area. In addition to a march, featured in a short clip below, there was a “Die-in” at the Federal Building. Entertainment at Eaton Plaza included the Raging Grannies, Jem Bluestein, and the Green Machine. This was the largest anti-war march Fresno has seen in a long time. Video by Simone Whalen-Rhodes
