DESCRIPTION:Defend The Students, Teachers And\nStaff At The Martin Luther King Middle
 School\n\nPress Conference/Rally At San Francisco DA Gascon’s Office\nFor
Prosecution Of Natalie Eberhard And Jeannie Pon\nTuesday November 27, 2012
4:30 PM\n750 Bryant St. Hall Of Justice San Francisco\nDemand That That
Gascon Investigate and Prosecute MLK Principle Natalie Eberhard and Jeannie
Pon, Assisant Superintendent for Middle Schools and on the private SERP
Bectel funded educatin\n\nThere is a major cover-up by the managers of the
San Francisco Unified School District. Natalie Eberhard, the principle of
the Martin Luther King Middle School physically abused students and even
sat on a student. This was actually video taped at the school. In response
to this abuse, the staff has reported the abuse to the San Francisco Police
Department and District Attorney Gascon. The District Attorney has refused
to investigate and prosecute this serious criminal activity.\nAt the same
time, Jeannie Pon who is the Assistant Superintendent of the Middle School
Division of SFUSD has done damage control for Eberhard and sent out a
letter on September 14, 2012 after a UESF union community press conference
about the abuse. She denied any serious problems at the school and ignored
the calls to the police to report abuse by the principal. Additionally
Jeannie Pon has approved the retaliation against teachers and staff who
have spoken out against this abuse and dangerous working conditions at the
school. Fifteen teachers and staff members have been victimized by Eberhard
and Pon for standing up for the students and a proper education.\n\nPon is
also an operative of the SERP Core Group members in San Francisco which is
funded and controlled by the Bechtel corporation. This outfit supports the
Core Standards and STEM education plan that has eliminated music and arts
in the schools in order to push the testing system as the priority in
education.\nOne of the first acts of SERP supporter Natalie Eberhard was to
give away all the instruments at the MLK school and close down the music
and arts classes. This at a school which was founded to honor Martin Luther
King.\nIt is also no accident that this school is mostly working class
Black and Latino students. This would never be allowed at most of the
schools in the wealthier white districts in San Francisco. It is time to
fight for justice and against the privatization of education in San
Francisco and to restore the music and art classes at MLK as well as
demanding criminal prosecution of both Natalie Eberhard and Assistant
Superintendent Jeannie Pon for physical abuse and the criminal obstruction
of justice.\nFor more information go to\nSF Martin Luther King UESF School
