 protesting La Playa Carmel’s callous refusal to commit to re-offer the 
 hotel jobs to the former workers–over half of whom had worked there more 
 than 20 years. The hotel has rehired only 3 of 113 former workers.\n\nThe 
 hotel closed and workers lost their jobs one year ago, November 1,
