“WAR: Eyewitnesses Tell the Untold” will be the topic of an evening event to be held at the Healdsburg High School cafeteria on Thursday, December 1, from 7:00 until 9:30 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by the Healdsburg Peace Project and the HHS Progressive Club. Three eyewitnesses to war will focus on the deceptions in the media, military recruitment propaganda and war’s life-destroying after effects on physical, mental and emotional health.





The speakers are Dahr Jamail, Jeff Paterson and Leuren Moret. Dahr Jamail is a well know unembedded photo-journalist who covers the Iraq War and is a frequent contributor to Democracy Now and other progressive media. Jeff Paterson, best known as the first U.S. Marine to refuse to fight in the Gulf War in 1990, is currently on national staff with Not in Our Name as a featured speaker and photographer at anti-war and anti-military recruitment events. Leuren Moret, who is featured in the acclaimed documentary “Beyond Treason”, is a reputable scientific expert on depleted uranium.
